Meet Dr. Ghada Zeidan

Dr. Ghada Zeidan is an AUB alumna who founded the Avicenna Scholarship in 2018 with a vision to ensure that no talented Lebanese student would be denied access to quality education due to financial constraints.

With deep roots in Lebanon and a profound commitment to educational equity, Dr. Zeidan has dedicated her resources and energy to creating pathways for academically excellent students facing financial hardships. Her personal journey and experiences have shaped her understanding of the transformative power of education.

Through the Avicenna Scholarship, Dr. Zeidan has created a sustainable support system that has already helped over 200 students pursue their dreams at Lebanon's leading universities. Her approach combines financial support with mentorship, ensuring that scholars receive comprehensive guidance throughout their academic journey.

Dr. Zeidan believes that investing in education is investing in Lebanon's future. Her vision extends beyond individual scholarships to creating a community of scholars who will contribute to Lebanon's development and serve as role models for future generations.

Under Dr. Zeidan's leadership, the Avicenna Scholarship has raised over $500,000 and supported students across multiple disciplines including medicine, nursing, engineering, business, and more. The program has expanded to partner with seven leading universities in Lebanon.
